Now that's funny I don't care who you are...
KRMD broadcasts wouldn't be the same without streeteam leader Charlie Spraggins
... such a likeable guy ...no matter how much he makes fun of me, and that's a lot.
I just cant get mad at him.
great smile, fun personality
two little devil horns.
The next time you visit a KRMD live broadcast, look for the guy giving me the hardest time.
Check out this cool video I filmed today at the Bonnie & Cyde Trade Days broadcast, where Charlie has bet me, a whole dollar that he can win a prize on his first try at one of those swing a sledgehammer and try to ring the bell games that you see at the fair.
Only willing to bet a buck should have been my first clue that he wasn't going to be able to swing the sledgehammer
hard enough to hit the bell on his first attempt. No matter how cocky he was about ringing that bell on the first try.
I'll be honest and say it took me 3 attempts before I hit the damn thing. But, my first try came close to the top
Charlies only attempt came close to the bottom..video goodness and the crowds reaction below.

Hero Marine Won't Get Medal Of Honor
A Marine sergeant singled out by President Bush for throwing his body on a grenade to save his comrades in Iraq will not recieve the Congressional Medal Of Honor.
Sgt. Rafael Peralta, lay wounded on the floor of a house and grabbed a grenade that had been lobbed by an insurgent. He absorbed the blast with his body, dying instantly.
I'm still trying to figure out what may have played into their decision... the fact he was already wounded, maybe by friendly fire, Or that it's not a "declared war". Whether he was already wounded or not has nothing to do with the situation. He gave his life not only for this country, but for the fellow soldiers that would have been killed by the explosive. If that isn't grounds for the CMH, then noone deserves to get it. The CMH has been given to soldiers that saved other lives by carrying soldiers to saftey, allowing them to live is just as heroic. This whole matter is just supposition, that others would have jumped on the grenade..Boggles the mind.

Baggy Pants Ban "Unconstitutional," rules U.S. Judge
A judge in Florida says Riviera Beach's "saggy pants" law is unconstitutional in the case of a 17-year-old who spent a night in jail for having his underwear showing.
In Shreveport, you cannot be arrested for violating the “Saggy Pants” ordinance, but you could be fined or required to perform community service. The maximum fine for a first offense is $100. In Bossier City, at Louisiana Boardwalk, they make you leave the property(It's Private Property)and if you refuse to leave, then you'll be going to jail for remaining after forbidden.
Maybe Im the crazy one here, but I think The police have more important things to do than chase young boys and girls and say 'pull your pants up. I am pretty sure millions of american soldiers fought and died so this country could be known as the "land of the free" free of oppression, freedom of speech, freedom of wearing our pants anyway or any where we want!! If I want to wear my pants half way down my butt, or half way down my head, I have the freedom to do so.

When Rappers Attack
I take pictures of everything, and If I'm not taking pictures I'm shooting video...I do it because I enjoy it, not to make money. The papparazzi do it for the money and I suppose that is a different deal to the artists. As annoying as photographers can be, they do have the right to do what they do. Celebrities know this. They have chosen a very public profession. They do not have the right to destroy property. He doesn't have any children with him, he's not protecting family. Why not just completely ignore the paps like every other celebrity, It's just my opinion but I think Kanye West knows this is just a misdemeanor and he can get off with a bit of anger management and no jail time.

Was Iraq a Mistake?
From Bob Cook...
"This commercial was done by a local kid. You have to watch the whole thing. When he finishes talking and walks away, you get a sense of how this could be the commercial of the campaign season.
Bob Cook and I were on the Lake County Republican Central Committee together.
His son Joe returned from Iraq last year and I was at the celebration to welcome him home."
Hi, My son Joe just did a commercial for John McCain.
Please pass this on.
Thanks
Bob Cook

Sarah Palin: Heart Problems
The '80s rock band Heart is not happy about John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin using their song "Barracuda" at the Republican National Convention. When the Alaska governor was a high school basketball champ, her teammates nicknamed her “Sarah Barracuda.”
"The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission. We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We hope our wishes will be honored," the band said in a statement on Thursday.
Last week, right before McCain introduced Palin in Dayton, Ohio, he played the song "Right Now” by Van Halen. A few hours later, Van Halen’s publicist told MTV News that the hopeful was never granted permission to use the track, and had permission been sought, it would never have been granted.
This February, John Mellencamp told McCain to stop using his songs, "Our Country" and "Pink Houses," on the campaign trial. Anyway, I thought this was a great opportunity to break out the video for "Barracuda"...the song rocks and Ann was pretty hot back then...
Sarah Palin has come a long way since her Sports Reporting days.
Here's 23 year old Sarah Heath as a Sportscaster in 1988...

In a World without Don LaFontaine
Don LaFontaine has passed away at the age of 68.
Don passed away at around 1:50PM Monday (9/1/08).
He was the best of the best voice-over actors in the world. Going to the theater and hearing his movie trailers on the big surround sound system was worth the money regardless of whether or not the featured movie was any good. Many of you have a myspace account and it's always cool when someone adds you as a friend. I'm on www.voiceoveruniverse.com It's like myspace only it's for people who do voice over, I was floored when Don actually added me as his friend. A great man has passed on to a better place
